Local Charity Golf Tournament Has Big Turnout for Event

The 4th Annual Jimmy Fesmire Memorial Golf Tournament, sponsored by Sand Ridge Baptist Church and Second Harvest Food Bank, was held on Saturday, August 11, 2018.

With the sun shining down and the uplifting spirits of the many who attended, one couldn’t pass up the opportunity to participate in a golf tournament that helps those who are truly thankful. On Saturday, August 11, the Jimmy Fesmire Memorial Golf Tournament, sponsored by Sand Ridge Baptist Church and Second Harvest Food Bank, was held at Pine Tree Country Club. As I pulled in the parking lot, to the sight of cars abundantly parked in the lot, I couldn’t help but smile. I knew that this was going to be a great day! Walking down to the practice putting area, all I could see were hundreds of people and so many sponsorship signs decorating the green. I was greeted with hugs and generosity for coming out to take part in the event, only if I was there to cover it.
