Thanks goes out to David Austin of Scotts Hill for a rare find in a Depression era edition of Life Magazine, featuring the Life Community from Henderson County. The issue is from December 13, 1937, and the article is found on page 92, submitted by F.E. Evans of Atlanta, Georgia. The photos feature the school, depot, and cotton gin. The magazine sold for ten cents in those days. The article reads…
