A slight breeze wafted across the field at the Parkers Crossroads City Park, cooling off a young lady that was busy exercising a horse that was competing in the 19th Annual Walking Horse Show, on Saturday, July 21st. The event was sponsored by the Wildersville-Beaver Ruritan Club and was dedicated this year in memory of Jonathan Edward Roberts. Roberts was the son of James and Jeannie Roberts and Donna Wholford and the late Paul Wholford. Roberts was a long time enthusiast and a successful lawyer before his passing.
