For fun, fireworks, and friendly hometown entertainment, Lexington’s Festival of the Lake event was the place to be to celebrate the 4th of July holiday. The morning started out with pageants for all ages, cardboard and kayak races, and rides, treats, and attractions for the whole family. At 2:00 p.m., the official event was started with the posting of the national colors by Lexington Scouts #4031, the National Anthem was sung by Jacob Renfroe and prayer lead by Rev. Darrell Barber.
