County Budget Committee Meets

The Henderson County Budget Committee met for about two and a half hours Thursday night, June 7th. The Committee heard reports from several of the department heads and was able to recommend a balanced budget that includes a 3% cost of living raise for many of the county officials and employees. The Henderson County Commission will meet in a special called meeting at 7:00 p.m. on June 21st to hear the budget recommendations and to set a county tax rate.
