Rescue Squad Responds to Wreck and a Sinking Boat

The Henderson County Rescue Squad had a very busy Wednesday. The first call, around 11:45 a.m., was to a wreck on Highway 412 East, near the Harmon Creek Bridge. The driver of a red Dodge Dakota pickup had to be extricated out of the vehicle and was airlifted from the Henderson County Community Hospital. While this call was taking place, a call came out that a boat in Pine Lake was taking on water. The Rescue Squad responded with a boat, saving the two individuals. The boat was also drug to shore, the water was removed from it, and placed back on the trailer for the owner.
