Friday Evening Wreck on I-40 Leaves One Injured

A one vehicle accident along I-40, Friday evening, March 23, 2018 left one individual injured as the vehicle left the roadway and landed upside down.

A wreck near the 99.5 mile marker of I-40, Friday evening, March 23rd, left a passenger injured as their 2011 Honda Accord left the roadway and landed on its roof. Reyna Melgar, age 20 of Smyrna, Tennessee, was traveling east on Interstate 40 when her vehicle was driven off the roadway. The THP report said that she overcorrected her actions, and the vehicle left the opposite side of the roadway where it overturned. Her passenger, Destinee Roy, age 21 of Memphis, was injured. Both occupants were wearing seat belts properly.
