The Board of Education for the Lexington City Schools System met for a brief meeting on Monday evening, March the 12th.
Director of Schools, Cindy Olive, made her report, which required no actions from the board.
A measure approving the recommendation from the Science Textbook committee was passed, and the Audit Reports from Fiscal Year 2016-2017 were passed out to the board members for review before the next meeting. Beverly Lawson, recording secretary for the meeting, said that the audits looked very positive for the system.
Two items were tabled: school board policy revisions recommended by the Tennessee School Boards Association, and discussion of the May teacher bonus.
