Scotts Hill City Board Discusses Reducing Number of Alderman from Seven to Five

The mayor and board of alderman for the town of Scotts Hill met on March 5th for their regular monthly meeting, and again on March 12th for a special called meeting. In regular session, Melissa Davis with the Southwest Tennessee Development District conducted the final public hearing on the Parks and Recreations grant. Board members were also given a list of applicants for the Water Department opening, with instructions to select two and turn those in to the mayor’s office. On the tourism grant, the board decided to use the funds at the city park for bleachers and a fence, and to black top the gravel parking lot. The special called session heard a presentation from…
