Wrestling For Rescues

Seats began to fill early around the ringside and arena floor, at the Wrestling for Rescues event.

The Francis Hensley Animal Shelter provided a signature event at Scotts Hill High School Saturday night, August 5th with its Wrestling for Rescues Memphis Memories. Tables were lined up on the far side of the squared circle where the audience could exchange handshakes and autographs with the wrestlers. Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee, and Koko B. Ware are icons that took many of those attending back to their childhood days, when the sound of the big kettle drums drew children and parents alike to the television screen, the sounds of the 1968 classic…
