Election Commission Approves Candidates for the September 14th Lexington Election

The Henderson County Election Commission met in a special called meeting on Friday, June 23rd, in order to approve the names for the September 14th City of Lexington election.   Jeffery H. Griggs and Jack Johnson were approved as candidates for the mayor position.   The candidates approved for alderman positions were:  Position 4- Eddie Akins and Emmitt N. Blankenship Jr.; Position 5-Peggy Gilbert, and Position 6-Gordon Wildridge. The candidates approved for the City School Board were Chadwick Wood, for Position 1; Carl D.
