Blair Speaks at Chamber BLT Luncheon

The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce met at the Lexington Center of Jackson State Community College on Thursday, June 15th, for the monthly BLT Luncheon. Sandy Stanfill, Director of the JSCC Lexington Center, mentioned that Basic EMT classes would be offered in the Fall on Mondays and Wednesdays. She also shared that the high school graduation rate for Henderson County is 96.4% which is higher than the state average of 87.2%. Henderson County also has a higher “going to college” rate of 68% compared to the state’s 54.4%. Recent average ACT scores from Henderson County are 19.4, compared to 19.0 for the state.
