National School Nurse Day

According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, the average student in Tennessee spends an average of 1,265.4 hours in school per year. Any parent would worry about their child when they are separated from them for this amount of time, and they can only hope and pray that their child will have a safe, carefree day at school. It is here that a school’s local nurse shines, and on May 10th this year, we commend the hard work and dedication that our nurses contribute to their schools by celebrating National School Nurse Day. From headaches to stomach flu, a nurse’s job is never dull. And, as busy as the job may be, it is equally important to the school’s student body.
