Henderson County Relay For Life Survivor’s Dinner

Boots and Saddles was the staccato cavalry call when there was a crisis during the night or early hours of the morning.  And although the Relay for Life Survivor’s Dinner enjoyed a western theme, when greeted by a boots and saddles motif the night of April 28th, it struck deeply home that perhaps these cancer survivors are answering a modern-day call to crisis.   Cancer can often be that hidden enemy that slips up, silent and unseen until too late.  And many of the people who are the most effective in cancer awareness were the men, women…and children, who gathered around the banquet tables.
