Scotts Hill City Board Meets

The Mayor and Board of Aldermen for the City of Scotts Hill met Tuesday night, May 1st, with most of the topics centered around the new budget in July.    The mayor and recorder explained that the proposed budget would allow garbage rates and property tax rates to remain the same, while giving employees a thirty-cent cost of living raise.  The budget is also expected to have an excess of $30,000.00 in the general fund, and another $60,000.00 in the water fund.   The board first voted for the thirty-cent increase for employees.  They then discussed and passed…
