American Legion Post #77 Host Oratorical Scholarship Contest

American Legion Post #77 of Lexington sponsored the High School Oratorical Scholarship Contest, Saturday, January 21st. The contest topic surrounded different phases of the Constitution. The contest was held at Scotts Hill High School to accommodate the event for schools located in the District 8 counties. Representative Steve McDaniel, and Senator Delores Gresham attended as guests. Also attending was District 8 Vice-Commander of the American Legion, Don Bailey, of Dover, Tennessee. Post 77 Sergeant-at-Arms, Bobby Keen, led the invocation, while the color guard from Post 243, Scotts Hill, presented the colors for the opening ceremony.
