Lexington City Board Moves Forward with Museum Repairs; Economic Development Grants; Bond Refunding
The Lexington City Board met for its regular stated meeting on Tuesday night, January 2nd. Minutes were approved and the board moved to the public hearing and second reading of the ordinance to rezone two properties on Natchez Trace between Factory Drive and John Threadgill Drive. The second reading was approved. A resolution to refund Lexington Electric System bonds was also approved. The bonds will be paid off within the same timeframe, but save about $450,000 over the life of the bond. The bonds were raise to build the two new sub-stations.
