The Henderson County Commission met Monday night, January 9th, from 7:00 p.m. until about 9:15 p.m., approving the last meeting’s minutes and hearing discussion on resolutions, departments, and presentations by guest speakers.
Mayor Hughes spoke about the need for a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) resolution for the sixty acres at Parkers Crossroads.
The TIF is a first step in making a property available for developers, as it provides no increase in the property tax for the selected number of years as a developing incentive.
