Lady Lions Play Tough But Fall to Lady Tigers

The Lady Lions played the Lady Tigers, of Lexington, tough in their first match up in Chandler Gymnasium at Scotts Hill, but their second matchup was a little further apart. The Lady Lions defense came to play in the first quarter, only allowing 10 points. However, some turnovers and other bad misfortunes on offense left the Lady Lions down to Lexington at the end of the first quarter by only one point. Kenley Maness, who could have made a big difference in the game, went out with a shoulder injury within the first few minutes of the game. The Lady Lions were right in the game, and with a blink of an eye Scotts Hill was down by quite a bit. The mishaps in the first quarter turned into cold shooting, as the Lady Lions only hit two shots from the field in the second quarter.
