Transfer Truck Lies Along Culvert on Hwy 100

A transfer truck landed on its side Wednesday afternoon, December 7, after leaving the roadway and falling from the steep bank on Hwy 100, just west of Scotts Hill.

Around noon, Wednesday, December 7th, a transfer truck from Grenada, Mississippi, left the road, heading east into Scotts Hill. Once into the soft culvert area, the rest of the truck was pulled in, climbing the bank, and the entire rig came to rest on the drivers side. Two wreckers were dispatched to clear the vehicle. An officer from the Scotts Hill Police Department said that the driver was uninjured but shaken up. The incident is believed to have been a distracted driving incident.
