(1-30-13)-- Early Wednesday morning portions of Henderson County were placed under tornado warning as damaging winds and excess rain tore through southeastern portions of the county.  Areas hardest hit include the Pine Lake area in southern Henderson county, along with the Shady Hill, Rock Hill, and Chesterfield communities in Eastern Henderson County.  Numerous power lines and trees have fallen on on roads and highways, making these areas impassable for most of the day.  Local residents have joined forces with road crews in helping to clears these roadways.  Many homes and other structures were struck by falling trees or otherwise damaged from the storm.  At the time of this update, we have received no official report of any injuries or deaths.
