Weather Upsets Weekend Events, LPD Cornhole Tournament Moved to Britt Building

Weather forecasts for rain led to the cancellation of the courtsquare Sounds of Music Fall Festival which included the Boo and Pet Parades. The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce says that the events will not be rescheduled.

The Lexington Police Department’s Cornhole Tournament, however, changed locations from Beech Lake to the Otto Britt Fairgrounds building, where there was lots of food, fun, and music by the Bryan Moffitt Band.

1st place winners in the tournament were: Jerry Vickery and Donnie Long, 2nd place: Jerrett Scott and Brian McCain, and 3rd place: Bobby Tubbs and Mike Cochran. Wayne Faulkner was the winner in the cornhole board…
